Here are the results: 1st Place – 97.85 - Onyx (Dayton, OH)  Strongly marked in black and brown, the crowd welcomed the “Sleeping Giant”.

Reprinted from wgi.org By Michael Reed -- Little Elm (TX) (Gold Medal- 97.55) earned the crown by exploring emotions of love, loss, and reconciliation with “Somewhere in Time.” The romantic program opened with the men and ladies in the group running towards each other and embracing, then parting while a man looks back longingly at the woman he is sure to miss. As the man walks around wistfully, missing his mate, he reaches for her as if coming to grips with the hole in his life.

Reprinted from wgi.org by Jolie Henricks -- 57 units began 3 rounds of competition at 4 different venues. Friday night, it came down to the final 15 at the University of Dayton Arena. Here are the results: 1st Place – 95.4 - Pacificaires (Surrey, BC, Canada)  Oh, Canada, thank you for sending these earthy women from the north. The spectators in the Arena found themselves “Falling Slowly” in love with them. Poised and confident, controlled and strong, they filled the vast space with strength and loveliness, repeating a movement montage of slowly lowering each other to the earth.

Drum Corps Grand Prix slated for July 10

Reprinted from the Clifton Journal: -- The Hawthorne Caballeros will host their 46th annual drum corps grand prix on Saturday, July 10. The competition and entertainment will start at 6:30 p.m. and be held at the Passaic County Technical Institute, 45 Reinhardt Road, in Wayne. The gates will open at 5 p.m.
